Hands-on workshops designed to build the technical skills of your Crisis Response Teams.

Crisis Response - Fundamentals

Our Crisis Response Fundamentals workshop focuses on the basics of crisis management. We cover preparation, initial and ongoing response, information management, resource management, and communication.

We will share unique tools, processes and insights designed to enable your crisis teams to perform at optimal levels during a crisis.

Our trainer will draw from years of practical experience. The workshop includes lessons learned and case studies from a range of actual crisis events.

At the end of the training session, participants will engage in a short scenario-based exercise designed to put their new knowledge into practice.

Duration: 3 hours

Crisis Response - Advanced Techniques

Our Advanced Crisis Response Techniques Workshop builds on the Crisis Response Fundamentals Workshop, focusing on leadership and decision-making.

Workshop participants will learn how to make decisions in complex situations where the information environment is confusing and chaotic. Participants will also learn how to structure and prioritise their actions, which is an essential skill in a complex crisis.

The practical focus of this workshop will bring the knowledge and capabilities of your team to a new level.

Duration: 3 hours

Experiential Learning Workshops

Our Experiential Learning Workshops are designed to build and sustain competence through small-scale simulation activities.

Security Operations Centre Operator Workshop

Many organisations rely on SOCs to provide frontline response. This workshop seeks to build the competence of SOC operators in handling critical events.

During this workshop, SOC operators participate in short scenario-based activities. Each activity is designed to place the individual in a non-routine situation where they not only have to refer to existing procedures, but also apply their initiative and problem-solving skills.

Operators will be debriefed after each interaction and will have the opportunity to repeat interactions where there is learning benefit in doing so.

Duration: 3 hrs (based on 4 people)

Supporting Next of Kin Workshop

In a major crisis event, organisations will need to communicate with and support the families of their employees.

This workshop consists of a mix of theory training and short interactive scenarios. The format is designed to give human resource managers and communications specialists the knowledge and experience to effectively communicate with - and support - employees and their families during and after a major crisis.

Participants will learn the optimum time to communicate, the most suitable means of communication, and how to select the right people to make contact.

All participants will have the opportunity to develop messages, and then deliver these messages to family members over the phone and face-to-face.

This is a highly dynamic and engaging workshop. As we rely on actors to role play in the scenarios, we need a minimum of one month’s notice to prepare for this workshop.

Duration: 2 x 3-hour sessions
